Curious what height most of you are running this scope at with a pic rail? I'm looking at 0.885" but I am worried about hitting the front of the rail.

Also - what rails are you guys running on a 700 action? I'm looking for something action length.

I used nf lows on a 56mm nxs. When I used a nf steel rail on a rem 700 I cut the rail overhang off if I remember correctly. On the alum rail I use now with an nx8, I filed the forward most lump down about half way.

Long or short action?

I like the Burris extreme tactical two piece pic bases for weight savings and for hand feeding single rounds. Have used with warne mountain tech lows and seekins lows. On a short action it probably wouldn’t make a difference, but I had a long action (700 footprint) where the objective would hit the rail with the seekins. Switching to the warne mountain techs fixed the issue. Both setups have been solid with no issues.

Following I have this scope coming and it is going on a SA anti x with a proof barrel. Right now I have the .885 UM rings on order. After talking with Jake they should work. If not I can just swap them for 1”
