Next run on ammo is here?

The Thunderbolts don’t shoot for a damn in all my guns, though.

I use them for plinking with the kids so they don't have to be super accurate. When I want super accurate I shoot my .17's. My daughter and I had a blast with the prairie dogs last summer and a couple 17's. We sat out there for about 4 hours popping them. Have no idea how many exploded, but those TNT's and Vmax bullets are awesome on dogs.

I've never seen Palmetto state out of so much ammo.

I hadn't even considered there would be a run on ammo. I figured everyone who would think they would need it already had more than enough.

All the online ammunition vendors are SOLD OUT of popular ammunition. Crazy.

When groceries started to go I picked up a few extra boxes of 9mm and .22.

Keep a steady supply anyway but purchases more in front of things with the anticipation that the shortage could go on for awhile again. . .

I had 30$ cabelas bucks to spend so I picked up a couple boxes of 38 spl for my revolver. Pistol ammo was picked over, but that was it. I'll prob just shoot my bow alot more if I can't get access to any ammo cause I aint gonna go thru my current stash

I tired to order some ammo (not hoarding, for a test fire on a gun I’ve been working on) on Cabelas website last night... checkout crashed 5 times before I made it through on the 6th attempt.

Stopped by my LGS today for a few miscellaneous items. It was pretty busy but ammo was fully stocked. All the 9mm, 223, etc a guy could want!

I work at Sportsmans too. Friday and Saturday were a joke. Guns going off the shelf like they were nothing. Ammo was going even faster. Someone should call the CDC. The cure must be 9mm and 556.

I remember working at Intermountain Outdoors in Idaho during Y2K.

This wiry dude came in right as we were closing, mere hours before doom and headed over to the used gun rack. He started looking at the price tags and said, “Shit!” After flipping over each one. After doing this on about 8 guns he turned around and ran out of the store. A strange event.

Heard the mormons were told to take up arms to defend there food cashes with.
They know were coming for em if the struggle is real.
Would of thought they already had that planned out.

Funny you say this. I have many LDS friends and have told them advertising their food-saving habits was never a good idea. One, who is kind of a gun nut, and I had a conversation about defending the cache. I asked him at what point will he start stacking up bodies on his lawn to protect his food cache. He had no answer.

I'm willing to bet most guys on here have a pretty decent protein cache in their freezers. As far as ammo goes... Anyone who buys thousands of rounds purely because of a pandemic makes me question their brain power.

Hard to pillage the neighborhood with a big stick hahaha. Yeah, I can’t believe it’s turned to ammo from TP. Next gas cans will all be sold out and filled to keep in the garage. Somebody is welding a mad max vehicle right now, I’m sure of it.......

Maybe so... The only thing that is a thorn is my ass is the chance of going through that crazy 22 LR shortage that we did under Obama again. Makes it tough with young kids that love to plink if you can't find anything to do it with. Not sure if someone picking up another few thousand 22 LR at a good price to hedge their bets against not being able to shoot as much is a terrible idea. I have plenty, but won't hesitate to grab another few thousands rounds if it was an easy buy.

I got caught with my pants down after Sandy Hook; didn't make as much money then, paying off student loans. I got into my LGS before opening the next morning, made sure I bought my first (of many) AR15. But from an ammo and component perspective I was scratching along for a long time.

Not going through that again. I never step into a store that sells ammo without leaving with some .22. Timed my last Powder Valley order perfectly, I'm restocked on components. And when I say restocked, that's powders/primers for 3 years. Bullets don't seem to get in such short supply if you have some flexibility.

Even with mandatory quarantines, essential items and businesses stay open and available. Gas, groceries, medical, etc. If someone wants to guard their stash, more power to them. It's the ones looking for said stash you need to worry about. That, and people are about to get stupid.

Had a guy complain about our pricing for 1000 rounds of 556. Apparently, 35 cents a round is just ridiculous.
