Hello all! I came across this forum while searching for info on DIY elk archery hunting. Seemed like knowledgeable folks, so I'm really hoping to learn a lot from you guys. If I can get myself figured out I'm going to try and do a solo OTC in Colorado in mid September. I'm a pretty experienced whitetail hunter and of course hogs and varmints. Never anything like elk. I'm in pretty good shape and will hopefully improve. In college I was an outdoor guide (backpacking, canoeing, climbing) so hopefully those skills will come back to me. Also, I'm a traditional archer shooting a Bear Supermag 50#@28" and a 504gr carbon arrow.
