new vortex rangefinders

went to cabelas to buy a new rangefinder and got a tip from a credible source not to buy it yet. I was between the vortex 1000 and 1500. he said they are releasing a 1300 and 1800 in the next month or so and that the 1300 should be the same price as the 1000. same with the 15 and 1800. also said it may cause the price on the 2 older models to drop.

For what it’s worth people seem to be really frustrated with the buttons on both models vs others in that price range (Leupold, Sig).

The 1300 and 1800 are available online at many web retailers including Amazon and eBay already. Not sure if there is much difference between the 1500 and 1800. (Other than 300 yards) The 1500 already was a good improvement over the 1000 regarding speed and 2 button range vs 3 button push to range. I will be interested to see a comparison review.
