Looking at the sea to summit spark 40 degree bag. Anyone use one or have any suggestions for a 40 degree bag around 1lb.

I have had my eye on the western mountaineering astralite quilt 26 degree rating and weighs 17.5 oz for the long

Check out Zpacks. You could do a 35', long, regular width bag for 15.3 oz. Hoodless bag, but at those temps, the light beanie you're probably already carrying would be plenty for your head.

Western Mountaineering makes several in that range. Highlite comes to mind right off. Any quilt will be at, or under, a pound. Nunatak gear has a 28 degree bag just a little over a pound, but they do custom work. If you told Jan you wanted a 40 degree bag they would do it. It's a center zip design too, the Alpinist. Their Nova bivy is pretty light as well depending on what level of Apex you choose.
