I have viper hd 12x binos and am getting ready to do a hunt with a possibility of tripod glassing. Im partial to vortex and plan on getting the ss tripod with the uni mount.

If i get the uni mount would i just leave the mount attached to the binos all the time and keep them in my bino harness with it on?

That's what I do. The post stays on my binos, and the mount stays on a quick disconnect plate on the tripod.

Definitely a good idea to get the tripod with any binocs. Especially 12 power. You will be pumped you did.

I bought the field optics research adapter, worked great, the part on the bio is tiny. There is some play in it as per reviews but I glassed with my hand on the base of the ball head and it was mostly a non issue.
