Hello all, new to the site. Looking for some guidance on an upcoming Elk hunt in Idaho with a few fellow Midwestern white tail hunters.

Hunting in Unit 25, near Yellow Pine. My buddy and I hunted in that area last year with bows (very unsuccessfully). It was miserable. Almost 85 degrees on opening weekend. Only saw 1 elk, no other critters except a pack of wolves and a bear on the side of the road.
