Getting some prism glasses for some double vision. Having never worn anything besides sunglasses I wanted some quick insight. Vision is 20/20 in both eyes, just with both open they fight each other. To compensate I usually just close my left eye when shooting or squint it.

But since I won't have to compensate anymore. Do you guys shoot with them on with rifles, bows, pistols, or shotguns?

Been wearing glasses for near 50 years now. Tried contacts for awhile but hated them. I shoot all my weapons with them on. I kinda have to.

Yeah since my issue wasn't clarity just focus it's a weird spot. Like is it worth it to shoot with them on both eyes open? I've got by for the most part just squinting my left eye, but if it's worth learning otherwise I will.

If you shoot just fine by closing one eye without glasses then just do that unless you have to wear them all the time. Sounds like you do. Or, put them up on your head or hat brim and shoot and when done put them
Back on. I shoot all the time without glasses and I can’t see distance (nearsighted I think?) astigmatism as well. I’ve gone 30+ years without glasses. 🤦🏼‍♂️ My wife made an appointment for me to go visit the doc in March. I’m going to try and get contacts and glasses. Glasses will just get in the way when I’m on the kill floor or going in and out
Of the freezer.

The only difference I’ve noticed is that your anchor points will be different when shooting a bow because there’s a blind spot as look through the sight. At least that’s how it is for me.
