Yes, it´s a bit on the expensive side, but..... want it!;)

will have a look at those CArbon Injections, but after I´ve shot a bit. They´re pretty expensive to loose or wreck..

Amen to that!

I will confess to losing a lot of arrows during the last few months (over a dozen), learning how to shoot this year. The added cost of those Easton Injexions makes it sting a bit more, and taught valuable lessons. I have contemplated going back to Carbon Express until I get better, e.g. smaller groups 70 yards plus. We shall see... :)

As to what sight to use for high-country bowhunting:

Was thinking of the G5 Optix XR of some sort,. bur are there others that offers 3 fixed and one dial in pin?

I would recommend that you stay away from that sight; I had a buddy that had one of those and the dial would move after every shot. Go with either the Spot Hogg or the Montana Black Gold sights.

Had a look at the Black Gold Ascent, and it seems to fit my bill perfectly! Thanks DWarcher!

However, it is quite heavy, and I´m, unsure it will fit the PSE DNA together with a tight spot quiver? will I be able to adjust easily with the quiver mounted?

I also had a look at the Leupold Vendetta. It seems like a sterling idea together with 4 pins!!:D

I reckon a PSE dream season DNA is going to be a bit too "loaded" with all that gear, or..? What do you think?

I really like the idea to range the animal, pick the correct pin and let go. I´m not very keen on another loose range finder..
I will be hunting in steep conditions, so like the fact it does some calculations for meg.

I also used a G5 XR sight last year. Found the pins to be somewhat lacking in the brightness dept. in the timber at first/last light. Seeing as Colorado doesn't allow electronic devices (sight pin lights), I ordered a custom MBG sight and the pins are noticeably brighter than the G5. Live & learn!
Good luck with getting your new bow set up! Shoot a bunch, and let the bow pick you...

Just ordered a few bits and pieces:

- a custom Montana Black Gold Ascent sight with 4" dovetail, rearfacing dial and 4 pins along with a 2" housing. 45 or 50m on fixed pins, dial in from there.
- TightSpot quiver in Mossy Oak Infinity
- G5 Expert Pro arrow rest (Planning on using FOBS)
- Leupold Vendetta

What bow to put it on will have to wait. There is a PSE ds DNA on special at a local dealer, so if it fits me, that will be the one....

Colorado baby!
I´ve done a bit of research on various sites lately, and has landed on the following bow available from a local dealer:

Opinions on my choices are greatly appreciated!

PSE Compound Bow Dream Season DNA 2013
G5 Sight Optix XR
Qad Ultra Rest HDX (or Ripcord / Spott Hog Whammy or Premier?)
Carter Chocolate 4

Have tought about the Ulmer Edge Broadhead. Other suggestions? What arrows to choose..?

Would like to be able to shoot up to 70-90m skills permitting..

I have a heavily discounted QAD rest in the classifieds if you're interested.
