New TMK announced

Just take the 6gt for what it is, near 6br accuracy and super easy load development, but a lil slower mv VS the creed/xc/x47. The decision a guy needs to make is barrel length, and velocity desired with X bullet, this tells you case size needed.

For reference a 21in 6gt will still run heavy for cal bullets at 2800+ mv, which is where 18" 6cm usually run. It's a very efficient case, especially in shorter barrels. 21 is the shortest I've gone with one.
Any experience with 6 ARC? How does it compare to the BR and GT?

For reference, 95tmk’s:

16” 6x45 - 2550-2600
16” 6ARC - 2650-2700
16” 6 dasher - 2750-2800
16” 6GT - NA for me
16” 6creed 2950-3000

My 6 dasher shoots 108’s 2650-2700. I think you could expect 2750-2800 out of a 16” 6GT with 107tmk’s

I asked AI to compare the existing TMK line and guess at the length and BC of an 88 and it guessed
Bc: .510-.545
Length: 1.19-1.25”

Berger suggests stability :
1.28 w/ 1:8.
1.46 w 1:7.5
1.67 W 1:7

59* and 1000’ 3150 fps

You’d need to go to 6,800’ for 1:8 to get above 1.5 sg

Maybe we should do an over-under? Yesterday I was WAG-ing a ~ .5 G1 for the 88s. Just basing that on 77TMK compared to 75/80 ELDM. They could easily make it higher, but it seems doing too much of that might mess with its terminal performance. Better not kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

I was hoping for a 140/145ish TMK for my 6.5 Creed, but the 22/6mm offerings will be great (hopefully).

They made a 140 TMK and sold it to mil or LEO. So I was a little surprised it wasn’t part of this drop

I'm an engineer who's learning to shoot -- You're probably three levels above my pay grade on this :D

My thinking was: shorter case allows longer bullet in same COL & mags. Bore rider allows potentially higher MVs versus a super long bearing surface.
LRI tried bore rider throats in the 6 Comp Match many moons ago and decided to back away from it.

Curious what powder you were able to get the 6ARC vel with? From what I’ve seen the temp stable powders are a bit slow

Those velocities jive with my experience w/ 16" bolt gun and temp stable powder (Varget) in the ARC case, but Leverevolution gives me 2800fps w/ 103s. The only downside I experienced with Varget was how compressed it needed to be to get those speeds. The next one I'd consider trying is StaBALL Match since it's between Varget and Leverevolution on the chart, and should eliminate the chunky case fill, theoretically.

I have very little notes, because I stuck with lever in the arc.

But this is what I wrote down.
