New TMK announced

See his earlier post.
For the record I started the ELD-MURDER moniker and still shoot them almost exclusively with very little intention to change. The 88s are the exception as they're the only one that's tough to get good accuracy with. I recently tried the Berger 85.5 and this was the only way I could make it palatable. (I've previously talked a bunch of shit about bergers to my friends)

That's a sharpie red colored tip FYI

108gr ELD-M. The jacket getting thicker as it gets to the nose is clear. As well, the lead coming way up and around the shaft of the tip.

Quite a difference in tip opening, how deep the opening is before hitting lead, and the jacket thickness at the nose. Same 108gr ELD-M on the right.

@Formidilosus can you spell out what’s going on in that last intact bullet lineup with the hash lines?
Left to right 77TMK, new TMK, Berger 85.5 on the right?

Left bullet looks to have too long of a boattail to be a 77. I'm guessing the bigger bullets are bigger than 6mm. 7mm maybe?

I assume there's a deliberate lack of information there, sort of IYKYK. but I don't know I'm not near savvy enough to read between the lines

Based on what has been shared I’ll take a wild guess

107, 115/116/117, and a new low to mid teens 6mm

What are the chances the 153s stabilize at creedmoor speeds in the 1:8.7" twist Sauer I just got?

I would assume pretty high if they are less pointy than 147 eldms and those work.

Stability is going to be pretty marginal if the overall length is above 1.42”. Which it is sure to be.

Well that would probably make sense with the hash lines especially but the variety in speculation is why I asked for clarification

Saw it. Doesn't sound like a reason to want to hate a bullet? Maybe I'm out of the loop.
I had four of them fail on me in a row close to a decade ago. I was able to recover 2 animals and a couple of the bullets. Documented it all. The bullets completely failed to open. I've been a hater ever since.

Just confirming, you are specifically referring to the 88gr eld-m failing to open?

Oh these are looking to be a peach….

Through fog thick enough to barely make out the slight orange discoloration- couldn’t see the USPSA target at all.

The XC load is the load for the 115gr DTAC- no changes. The 6cm is wildly light load- nearly 200fps under where it should be.

BC isn’t an issue. 985 yards.
