New Titanium Dead Air OTB

I'll be getting one to run in PRS with a recoilX brake. They should be decently quiet, yet eliminate a lot the extra forward length especially on 26-28" barrels.

I think this could be a killer setup, reflex + brake = 🤗
I’m thinking when my RUM is done (24” barrel) I’m either going to get this or the new 4” reaper reflex suppressor. It will be the same as my 22” suppressed

I thought about this setup too long and ultimately ended up ordering the TBAC Magnus-S RR. My assumptions include adding a muzzle device and no DT options. I know some swear by DT for weight and length savings but not my preferred.

Magnus S, RR With recoil X comp brake tested very well in the recent supressor test conducted by a group of guys and an outdoor life editor. Much quieter than the K setup and nearly same recoil.

Rob of Silencer Analytics, I think he’s got another channel, too. Anyway, he posted a video recently that had the DA OTB in it around the 3:55 mark:

Can’t say I personally really git much from the video. I’ve seen other videos where he’s praised the Nomad-L, he doesn’t really praise the OTB, he calls it interesting and says something to tge effect of it being in a category of it’s own.

I generally don’t glean much from sound in silencer videos beyond tone, but I was just meh at seeing the performance in that video.

Just got the Nomad Ti OTB out of jail. Only had time to put 5 rounds down the tube. My initial results are similar to the video above. Tough to describe, “it wasn’t loud, but it had a “crack” to it. For sure hearing safe, but it didn’t Wow me.
Mounted on a 6 CM with. 16.5” carbon fiber barrel.
Love the length, rifle felt very balanced weight wise. Already not a fan of the Xeno mounting system because I was planning on using this can on 2 or 3 different rifles and every rifle will require a mount. Direct thread is the way to go.
Next can will be a UM OG otb for my 6 UM.
Conclusion: I like the Dead Air, but don’t love it.
