New Tikka is here!!! T3X

I agree. I've been on the fence with taking the plunge. I was really hoping they offered a true short action. 7 oz seems like a large weight difference for just 2 inch barrel difference. I'll stay hopeful.

I have the T3 varmint in synthetic 223 and believe the barrel was intended to be FF but I had to dremel the stock in a couple places.

I'm glad they didn't change it too much. Would have been a bummer to orphan the old T3 on the aftermarket and have to restart everything for a new model. Looks like stocks, scope mounts, bolt parts, magazines, bottom metal, etc should all still work, or at least be similar.

Does anybody know when the new models will hit stores? Like just an estimate. Do you think it will be a few weeks or a few months?

*Yawn*....gotta wonder who comes up with this stuff.

A chance to do something exciting and this is the end result...

I think it's a double edge sword. It took a long time to get after market support. If they re-invented the wheel, everyone would be stuck waiting for that to catch up.

I asked about that and twist rates (hoping for faster 7mm and 30) but they just linked me to Tikkas sight and said that's all the info they had.

I emailed Berreta and I asked if Sportsmsns Warehouse and Cabelas would be getting T3x super lites. This was their response, "I do not believe that there will be a Super Lite T3x."

I would take that with a grain of salt. They are not helpful on the current SL since they're dealer exclusives. I would reach out to SW, Cabela's, etc for that.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my end as well :)

Yeah, I just thought it was odd that they offer the fluted barrel option in a wood stock but not synthetic.
