I've got a pair in my hands and all I can say is wow. They are marginally overall larger than my 10x50 ELs. The rubber coating is a bit different than the EL (I like the EL better) in that it has more of a grippy feel. I have a pair of 8x32 non-swarovision and these new SLCs are even more clear with the HD glass. I'll do some side-by-side testing with the ELs and report back.

You'll love them. I find it tough to do side by side comparisons. I notice the difference during certain hunting situations or totally random events. I.e I was hunting and saw two otters going by in a river down below me. Started watching them with the binos and I was like "holy shit, I can not only see their whiskers, but count them if I wanted to". Pretty sure my old binos could do that. It was awesome .

I played around last night with them comparing them to the 10x50's and 8x32 ELs. They seemed brighter than the 8's. I could hold them nearly as still as the 10's but you definitely get a gorgeous view with a tripod. Once I receive the Outdoorsman tripod adapter I'll be able to look side-by-side.

After messing with these I decided I'd like to try some 8.5x42's for a little more brightness than the 32's.
