New Semi Auto 12 gauge

I have a sx4 I use for ducks geese etc, and a a300 for turkey. the 300 is heavier I think (not weighed but sure feels like its heavier). Ive never had a single issue with either gun and both are great. I LOVED the 1100 back in the day, but both are light years ahead of it. pick whichever fits best and go shoot. I will say, for me, I bought a browning gold a few years ago an 1. could not hit a thing with it and 2. the safety was in the front of the trigger guard. I never could get that thing off easily. I grew up shooting thousands of rounds thru my 1100 with the safety in the back and thats where my mind and finger went to. just some food for thought. both the guns you have listed have the safety where it should be lol.

Funny about the browning gold. I bought a 20 ga about 18 years ago. It was the nicest single shot I have ever seen. No matter what load I put through it, it would fail to cycle 1 in maybe 25 rounds. Had 2 gun shops say they could fix it and neither could.

my 10 guage ran like a sewing machine. never had a hiccup as far a cycling. but man, that safety SUCKED and I could not hit a thing with it. I assume it was just different that the 1100 as far as where to point. I learned a good lesson. with my sx4 I shoot lights out an it feels like the 1100, cant say that bout the 300 but its for turkeys and I havnt shot a box thru it yet. It is very very nice tho

Both are great choices. I’d go and see which one fits you best and feels better when you mount the gun. Both actions are super reliable.

The affinity and M2 are made in same factory (beretta) and virtually indistinguishable. I just bought a browning a5 in 20ga and have thought of selling it for an affinity as it doesn't point as naturally to me and shoots more 70/30 patterns. I prefer 50/50.

Have the affinity waterfowl 3.5 in 12ga and it's a beast. I prefer it over the sbe3 for the same reason. Benellis shoot high and it doesn't match my shooting style.
Is your 20ga A5 a newer model?

The more i think about it, i may seriously sell that a5 and buy an sx4 and another franchi, both in 20 ga. I'm partial to the inertia guns from benelli, franchi, etc...But, i've heard good things about the sx4 and it's piquing my interest as well.

I have had an SX4 for the last 5 years for duck hunting and I love it. It points and swings very naturally for me and is soft shooting. This year I went the entire season without cleaning and didn’t have 1 failure to feed.

I’d buy another in a heartbeat.

I have the SX4 and SX3. Recently read some reviews about the charging handle just falling out of the SX4 and in that case during the hunt and into the water. I started messing with the charging handle on my gun and yes it is loose and I feel like it could vanish at any time, unlike the SX3 were the handle must be pried out and you can feel it lock back in when reinstalling it.

I bought the SX4 from DUNNS on sale for $699, after owning the SX3 for 10 years without a single hiccup and I mean not one issue, I could not pass up that Dunns deal.

The SX4 has Camo furniture and a factory cerakote. It is the hybrid hunter 12ga 3.5" Granted I do hunt saltwater 90% of the season but this gun took a beating this past season and IMO this cerakote is crap. I will be sanding the rust off and painting the gun ASAP.

Look around and see if you can find a brand new SX3 or go with the A300 or the Affinity.
See what fits and run with it.

Yes. It's the newer a5 hunter model.
I have a soft spot In my Heart for the old A5’s. My wife got me one for our 20year anniversary a few years back. It is a 1964 model ( made in Belgium ). I go between that and a browning citori over under 20ga for all my upland. I need to find a Japanese barrel for the A5 so I can shoot steel out of it here in Ca.
