I am completing a 6.5 Grendel bolt action build (hunting rifle) and now have to put some glass on it. I currently have a VX-Freedom 3-9x50 on my 7-08 and love it. I was thinking of putting that scope on the Grendel build since I wont shoot anything past 250-300 yards. If I wanted to put a better scope/next version better on my 7-08, what would everyone's recommendations be. I love Leupold but wont shy away from Vortex, Zeiss, or Nightforce. I chose these manufacturers because this is what my local shop carries. Majority of my shots with the 7-08 are 300 and under but after shooting this gun this year I would like the ability to shoot further 400 if needed. It's just way too much fun to shoot.
