New Ring Help for 700

I just bought this Remington 700 in .243, just like you see it. I would like to replace the rings. I actually need the scope to slide back just a touch. In looking at different designs, it looks like some designs of two piece integral bases/rings have the front ring farther toward the rear, and I'm not crazy about the front ring's current location on the scope tube. Specifically, I was looking at DNZ 2 piece and Leupold Backcountry. I'm having trouble finding the LBC in stock, though. I thought about a one-piece mount, but in this case, I think I'd like to keep the two-piece look. As a side note, I can't find any info on the scope; it only says Meopta 3-9x42 that's the only thing I can find on it, other than the serial number and the "Made in Czech Republic" on the bottom of the turret boss. Thanks for reading. I may also replace the scope, but not immediately unless I find a problem. I'm new here, but have been reading a lot over the last year.

I would appreciate any insight on this. I realize this is simple to most of you. Thanks.

Get a 1 piece picatinny rail that fits a M700 receiver. There are lots of options. I use Nightforce XTreme rings and they have performed perfectly. There are other quality options, but NF products are solid. Use the search function to find threads on the proper method to mount a scope to ensure it never moves and you will be in good shape.

As said above, the “best” option for a REM 700 or clone would be a quality rail and rings such as NF extreme duty rail with NF ultra light rings.

Now looking at that setup - Light recoiling cartridge, looks like a 1” scope tube, optic likely less than 22 oz., capped turrets. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a 1 piece or integral ring/base setup. The DNZ or Talley LW will serve you just fine and cost 20% of the “best” method above. I’ve seen both fail but given pretty large sample sizes I’d say your odds are low. Talley LW lows will definitely work with that scope. DNZ low probably will work but couldn’t guarantee it, may need mediums if you run scope caps.

I have zero first hand experience with anything ‘Talley’, however, a common denominator of many threads about ‘scope/mounting issues’ involves Talley products. I think the correct wording should probably say Talley LW “maybe will work”.
