I haven't posted here much but have been reading a lot. Today I went got myself a Christensen Arms Ridgeline in 300 WM. I decided I needed something lighter and new (mostly just wanted a new gun). I have been reading a lot about these rifles and paying close attention to their performance and it seems that they have been very good. Hopefully our weather holds off for a bit so I can get a load dialed in and get ready for Spring Bear season. All together the weight is 11 lbs.

Sweet, I really like the ridge line, I wouldn’t mind having one of the 20” 308 models they made.

Good looking. What scope is on it? I can't tell with my eyes from the small picture. I look forward to hearing a range report. I have considered a Ridgeline a couple times. Do you know exact weight of the bare rifle?

That is a beauty to behold and I like the raised hearth on that fireplace. I don't care who it is, I get excited when somebody gets a new rifle, much like bridesmaids getting excited about the Bride's dress. At least, that is how I explain it to the ladies in my life that just don't seem understand what all the excitement is about (and probably never will).

Thanks, so my setup is as follows. Christensen Ridgeline in 300 WM (7.14 lbs.) Nightforce NXS 5-22X50 with MOAR reticle (2.11 lbs) Yankee Hill Titanium direct thread Suppressor (1.19 lbs). I have just about got my load devolopment done, I need to run them through a chrono and test them at some distance for validation. Looking like I'll be in the 2850 fps range with a 215 Berger bullet

O.k. I have finally had time to get this thing settled in and somewhat finished. I changed out the bipod to a modular evolution since the Harris I had wasn't getting tight enough with the narrow forend. Next was a somewhat odd issue I ran into, While working on loads I was having irregular groups. Upon inspection I found that with my suppressor attached the barrel was contacting the end of the stock, so I took some sandpaper wrapped in a dowel rod and began to sand until the barrel was free floating all the way to the end. Next range visit turned out as I had expected it should, after 25 rounds I had a load worked up and was showing promise. I then went out again this am for final test which has proven three times for me. Next trip out will be when I can really stretch it's legs out beyond our 1200 yard range and get my drop data finalized.
My load is a Berger 215 VLD with H1000 lit by a Fed 215M primer seated .030" off the Lands producing a speed of 2875 fps.

If anyone is thinking about getting one of these rifles I would not hesitate one bit. I am actually looking to add another one (different caliber) for my son to hunt with.
