looking at the jp sauer 100, howa 1500 and cva cascade.
Wanted to hear any recommendations or input on any of these… have a budget of 1200$ or so.
Plan on using it for west texas white tail and occasional wyoming antelope and mule deer. Want to get 6.5prc as well.

Tikka. Or if you must spend that amount of money the Bergara wilderness ridge carbon is a great shooting rifle. I honestly wouldn’t spend any money on the ones you originally listed. I’d go ruger American before those three you listed.

Is the $1200 ready to shoot (rifle, scope and rings) or just a rifle? If just a rifle, lots of options. If ready to shoot, that's going to thin the crowd a bit. If the pieces were available, this group would say to get a Tikka, a good set of direct mount rings and a 6x SWFA scope. Can't say that would be a bad choice. Finding the scope is going to be the hard part. Rings might be on backorder.

I have 4 tikka, including a 6.5 creed & prc. But with your buget and euro's deals... id be getting a sauer 6.5 creed. The creed is just a little gentler to shoot, ammo is 1/3 cheaper, and your animals will be just as dead.

Id have a sauer myself if they fit a chassis. I like to night hunt and that's the only thing keeping them outa my collection. I think euro is at 429.00 for the creed atm. Its mossberg prices & European quality. That leaves 700 for a can or scope.

Happy hunting!
