Well I finally got done making my first backpack. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Should make a nice little day pack.
Here's a pick of it full before I added any compression.

The zippered pocket in the back is a durastretch pocket.
It has a water bladder sleeve, a hook for keys ect, and a small pocket inside.

Here are some pics with compression and a tripod and trekking poles.

I just used the top and bottom compression straps and it made it go down very thin

not sure which straps I'm going to use but I'll have plenty of options lol.
It also has a meat shelf and clips for a lid

Very nice work! I make my own tarps and stuff sacks but don't think i could tackle a project like this.
Thanks! The only thing I really made before this was a tarp so I'm sure you could. The biggest thing is time. I'm sure I have 20+ hrs in it. Don't plan on doing another one for a while but I was glad I did it.

Very impressive. Have sewn quilts with 20 denier and Apex, but that was a cake walk compared to this bag. Kudos!

Well I bought some xray straps from kifaru and sewed on 2 1" loops.

Then I cut a slit in the slider and attached the straps.

It is pretty floppy without anything in it but I'm going to either use arrows for structure or a hdpe sheet or something similar.
