I know there is interest in these type of pieces; just saw this one. It also has the full zip and hood that folks seems to be asking for, but not the shell face of the ambient. Also looks like heavier insulation than the ambient.

Great jacket - just bought it for backcountry skiing (don't worry also got green for hunting).

Insulation works like gangbusters - I have quite a few non-down mid-layers and this is the warmest for the size/weight. little tight in the shoulders, so size up if you don't want the sleeves to ride up when moving your arms.

Other than that, has stash pockets on the inside for gloves, and is SUPER breathable. If you wear it alone, pray you don't encounter wind chill.

I got one while it was on sale. Great jacket for its intended use. Definitely want a windshell handy. Very comfortable, fits well, breathes well, warm. I like it for sure.

Any updates from people who have run this jacket?

Looks like it's regular price is now down to $99 ...
I have it.

It’s kind of a tweener piece. Too insulated for lots of activity, not truly lightweight. I use it mostly for skiing or snowshoeing, and it’s great for that. Under a shell, it’s really warm, but breathes really well as long as your shell breathes. Probably a good late season mid layer.

If you’re looking for a truly active piece, though, it’s probably too warm, and something like 95 gsm or 75 gsm is probably more versatile.
