The vast majority of bulls harvested with unit wide landowner tags are taken from public lands. Get it?

You just keep losing credibility man.

The unit gets a certain number of tag allocations, and ranches are placed in that lottery with odds proportional to their acreage. That's why you see huge ranches getting multiple bull tags and small ranches getting maybe a cow tag. More acreage equals more odds.

No water = No elk, simple math. Water sources hold elk, if you'd spent much time hunting them you'd know that.

i am not going into specifics about one particular unit because it isn’t fair to the other residents who are trying to draw a tag. But yes there are units that have over a hundred UW LO tags. If you go to a 3D map that has a private property layer, it becomes quite obvious —to anyone that knows what elk habitat is- why those ranches want UW tags. Because the only elk habitat in those units is on public lands or on some one else’s ranch who get ranch only tags. Public lands is where most of the elk are and that is where most of the elk are shot. Doesn’t seem like a hard concept to understand. So yea, some of you don’t have good intentions in the first place.

Like I told you and ten bruins, We the resident hunters of New Mexico will never give up until we get our hunting back!
