I have a few questions about what to expect. If you have a draw public land tag. The hunt unit total tags for your dates are 45. It appears there is a good amount of State land with access. I have done my research on access and driven through the unit a couple times on past trips to New Mexico. The unknown for me is how do private land owner tags figure into this hunt. Will the antelope get more pressure on public land or private.
I have even wondered if antelope might be pushed to public land.
In the past hunting Wyoming. It seems antelope are pressured to private land due to large amounts of tags and limited public land.
If you wouldn't mind letting me know what your thoughts or experience are. Thanks

There's landowner tags and then NM also has OTC. OTC hunters just need access and then they are there. What unit? Is the draw date before OTC?

Apparently I was with the OTC hunt. Sept 28th. Outfitters flying every where. This was a very tough hunt.
I had a outfitter drive in on a buck were were stalking. The client jumps out and shoots the buck 200 yards in front of us. I know they were not allowed to drive on State land and doubt they had a public land tag. I was very pleased I was able to fill my tag with a fair buck. I posted it in the meat pole tread. I am really impressed with the bow kill at this point. My shot was 550 yards.
