I got lucky enough to draw for Archery Elk in 21B Dec 17-21 as my last choice. I am originally from New Mexico but now live in Texas. I know thats a rough unit to draw for so if anyone has any info they would be willing to share it would be greatly appreciated. Hoping to get out there to scout a few times before then. good luck to everyone that drew this year!

My buddy and I crashed and burned in NM. However, my teenage son drew his first choice! I'm way more excited than if I'd have drawn it. 2nd archery and he's going to fall in love with elk, NM, and this whole process! I'm super jacked!!!

For the record, I didn't draw diddly squat, so don't be mad at me!

Unit 2 second archery for my buddy and I. Never hunted Unit 2 but a friend of a friend said it’s a decent third choice. Beats sitting in Maryland dreaming of elk? Any input from you guys?

I have a CO application in a lousy unit. Not even worth going for the price of fuel.

Looking to Idaho. Was going to put in for Sheep, but after drawing
a complete Blank in NM, thinking I may do the trifecta (Elk/Ant/Deer)
and a couple sheep raffles just for good measure.
