New member here in Colorado. Just moved here after spending time overseas. Excited to get some hunting out west. I've only hunted on the east coast, so mountain hunting will be a new experience for me. I'm also getting into fly fishing, as the rivers and alpine lakes have been highly recommended. I'm planning OTC archery elk hunting this fall, as well as bowhunting for some mule deer. I'm excited to be able to talk to some other hunters, as my old job blocked the RokSlide website.

Heads-up that if you just moved here, you won’t meet residency requirements for CPW this calendar year.

And now all non-resident archery is draw (no OTC left), which already happened.

So, unfortunately, you may not be chasing elk this fall.
