Anyone have any info on the new stock from MDT? Seen Pynch shooting one at the NRL hunter match in Cody while I was there. Looks good, would like to get my hands on one

What made it poor shooting?

Forend is a noodle, grip is contoured poorly, comb is thin and sharp, toe is thin and hard to hold onto- overall probably the poorest shooting “modern stock” on the market.

In a heavy 308 the comb would bruise your cheek in sub 100 rounds. The grip is shaped Terribly and wants to roll, torque and move. The toe is so thin that legitimately controlling the back of the gun is difficult in lots of positions. The foreend is objectively about as stable as a Ruger American stock.
In less than a hundred rounds my only thought was “did they not have anyone shoot this design before selling it?”. And it wasn’t just me- 4-5 others despised it and had the same issues.

What is leading you to say LOP is adjustable?
Butt pad looks similar to that of a hnt26 with the spacer system, that’s just speculation on my end though. I saw the one Pynch was shooting at the NRL match and his definitely had more spacers between the pad and the rear of the stock.
This is a screen shot of a video of the stock I found on instagram, looks like three spacers and a pad to me

Looks neat. Not sure why they have drop at the heel though? MDT puts out lots of pretty good technical vids, you'd think they'd be on top of this stuff..

I'm kind of pissed I forgot about the NRL match. I was planning on going.

It looks good but I hope it doesn't have the insanely sharp cheek riser like the field stock. I owned one for about 10 minutes before boxing it back up and returning. Can't imagine how anyone who's ever fired a rifle would sign off on that.

That's pretty interesting...at the risk of sounding like a complete shill pitching you a softball for the RokStock, what did you do differently on each of those points in its design? Genuinely interested.
