I doubt anyone has them yet, but if someone does or has looked through them Id be interested to hear their thoughts.

I've looked through them, they are pretty darned good for the price. Better than the razors, optically pretty close to the Euros, not as clear as the SLC HD's or Victories.. IMHO they are the best under 1k binocular, You can get them online for less the 900 if you look around.

WRO - you seem to be referring to the Trinovid. The OP was referring to the new Noctivid. Open bridge similar to the SV.

From what I read on BF it's not in stores yet so we'll have to wait for some reviews.

Yep, I was referring to the trinovids, I thought it was an auto correct issue.

Wanted to revive this thread to see if anyone had some low light experience with the Noctivids? I looked at a pair at a local gun dealer today next to the Swaro EL and the Zeiss SF. Unfortunately it was the middle of the day and damn bright out so hard to really compare differences. They were real sharp, still like the ergonomics of the Swaro's.

I'm still waiting to run into a pair, none in stock at the Cabelas I was at yesterday. The reviews are good, but nothing earth shattering...as in better than SV or SF, but haven't looked myself.

my bino guy said they are stellar. better than the janky ultravid i schlep around with..:)

he wants me to look thru a pair because "he knows me". he thinks i will move up. i'll need to see what everyone comes up with as far as tripod mounting first. and i'll need to slip my wife a roofie.

I thought the optical quality on the Noctivids was outstanding (I didn't get to look outside in low light), but in talking to the Leica rep, there is no way to mount to a tripod without using the Leica style wrap around mount. There is no threaded adaptor in the front to mount an outdoorsman's style post to. He also said that any alteration to their binoculars (like adding the outdoorsman's post on my Ultravids) would void the warranty. I love Leica and to my eyes they look the best out of the big 3, but I hate the wrap around tripod mounts they have. I think they are missing the boat in producing an easily mountable product. Looks like my next upgrade will be Swaro. I also asked about a dedicated 15x and he said not anytime soon, said the engineers don't understand the need for them from western hunters.

I hear Leica is getting their act together on customer service, which is great and much needed. As soon as they swap over to a transferable warranty and prove they can match Swaro on customer service I'll most likely pick up a pair. Until then they won't get my cash. And I would love to get a pair of 8x32 Ultravids so get it together Leica.

i gouged my Ultravids. to the point i almost cried. sent them in, and they replaced the lens and cleaned the binos..at their dime.

CS was top notch for me!!

I've been looking they a pair for a couple weeks. They are like plasma hd...

They are the only Bino I have ever had to screw OUT the eye cups to use with my glasses.

Going to do a low light test between my ELs and Duovids soon.

Looking forward to your results SteveO. I've always liked Leica as well but after my Trinovid the lack of warranty had me look elsewhere.

Can't wait to see how they compare to the EL's in low light. I'm all but sold on a new pair of EL's for next years hunt.

I've got numbers for Geovid HB, EL, Zeiss Victory FtL, and Duovids from back in October for low light testing. They were all within a few minutes of each other and WAY past shooting light. I'll get those Noctavids in the mix and report out. I think you guys will enjoy. I did some detail work off my deck on some political signs that I won't be able to duplicate but will put that together too.

I did have a couple friends bring out a set of Vortex and Leupold, not their top of the line, and was incredibly clear to all it is worth paying for the Alphas.

Well, I got home before dark so I have scooted myself up to the local park where I did some testing earlier in the fall. It feels like I am on Kodiak Island with a gloomy spitting rain and 47 degrees. Sunset is at 6:23 tonight and it should get pretty dark pretty fast. Ive got a nice whitetail euro mount hung in a tree 113 yards away and I can clearly see the eye socket, a strip of velvet on the top of the main beam, and the 3rd point looking directly at me in the Noctovid, HD-B, EL and my old 10-15 Duovids. The Duovids have a bit of a yellow hue compared to the others, and the HD-B have the slightest blue compared to the EL and the Nocs. I'll jot down the times I can't make out each of those 3 details. I lost sight of the antlers with the naked eye at 6:10. All details were clearly visible in all 4 binos at 6:23.

One thing I noticed at the rifle range was I did not have to touthe focus to look from the 75 yard target to the 200 on the Noctovids. That was very interesting to me.
