yeah...and I would say the majority deer hunt, at least the dozens of people I know that fish it every year. It is a very very popular area...maybe not 100% for deer hunting because it isn't really very good deer hunting.

But hunt the funnels, fingers, and small secluded high spots and that is where the deer should be. Hunted a lot of terrain just like it in areas around there and all over MN. Putting on hip waders will eliminate 99.9% of competition.

Yeah the hunting is pretty poor with high pressure, low numbers and CWD. Not sure why we hunt it.

Thanks for the info and like I said earlier just using this as an example for tips to use other places. I actually live 2.5 hrs NE of there. Next time I’ll remove the names.

Well in that case, it might be better hunting than where you live at least!

That’s where I hunt. Hoping to use what I learn here to find a place near where I live.
