Does anyone notice any change in the material on the tents. I seem to remember than being Toray and now they are using silicone coated rips top but I could be wrong.

That new rain gear is light weight but man at $300 for the jacket only I'd be pretty pissed the first time something snags it and it tears.

The tents look interesting, be watching to see how they perform.

Don't think I will try that rain gear....the idea of no pockets or pit zips turns me off. Also I don't think I would want rain gear much more fragile than my chugach. I'm sure it has its place though.

Maybe I'm judgemental but the 240 hoody is overpriced. It looks like a good piece but not for 150 bucks.

While Kuiu has set themselves up for abuse, they're also the only hunting clothing company which is at all close to innovative. The rain gear and Atko/mid hybrid look quite interesting. They'd certainly be hard pressed to come up with a worse synthetic than the Traverse fabric.

The only thing that peaked my interest really was the alpine pant. and it not coming in a solid color was a deal breaker for me!

I'm waiting on a review about the hoodie. The 240 sounds perfect. Now, the 240 in kuiu compared to the FL labrador sweater? Are they about the same in thickness ya think? All i know is I just bought a pair of attack pants from another member of KUIU, and these pants are so awesome!! I absolutely love the feel and breathability in these things. Today in Austin Tx is about 54 degrees and wind is cranking about 10 knots if not more. I feel a breeze through these babies...I could even wear a light base layer today for the chill. Very happy with this item. Kuiu has this wired!!

Really? I would have to disagree...

It's still PU coated and taped fabric - which KUIU should be upfront about. They say it in the specs, but not in the product description, which I think is misleading. I can't imagine calling that "innovative." In clothing, they've done some really innovative things with incorporating new materials, etc......I'm shocked that with the ultralight mantra they would even bring such heavy shelters to market with weak fabric.

1 Man does indeed look identical to that Big Sky tent posted......I actually laughed when I opened that, thanks :)
