I got the size large and its huge compared to the old model. I put my swaro SLC 10x42 in there and they flop all around. Just wondering if maybe i got the xl marked as L but i dont know? Would anyone maybe have a picture of there swaro's in the new pro harness to show me for reference? Thanks in advance!

I'm using the Large for my 12x EL. They really need to come out with a smaller version. It's way too big for my 8x, which is what I originally bought it for. I even have room for my Samsung S8+ in with the 12x.

The foam insets in the bottom is not an acceptable solution IMO. It's too big in every dimension to hold an 8x. I would be willing to put money on the fact that there are vastly more people running 8x or 10x vs 15x. Cant understand why they wouldnt optimize for the small side of the spectrum.

It's too bad. I love the harness I'd just like a smaller size for my 8x.

It's America. Your choice is yours. But, I'm curious why on God's green earth would you buy a foreign made bino harness when the Outdoor Vision option, that is just as sleek and functional, size described well and, is made in America. Why would anyone do that? I'm not being a wise guy either. I just can't relate.

Is the Kuiu better designed? Camo match up that important to you? etc... What would make anyone do that?

I'm really not being a wise guy. I'm just curious if I'm over looking something.

What a weird post.

Charles- here you go. I don’t remember if this is the large or XL. My bino do move around some- but the trade off for me as a bow hunter is super quiet removal and putting them back in resistance free.

WV- were does the rangefinder go? plus I am able to put my hands on the kuiu (and prefer to for most purchases) so I knew it would function for my needs.

On the harness in a range finder pouch. Pretty much like Kuiu offers.

What a weird post.
In life people have a choice to ask about things they don't understand. To either solidify their opinions or, be exposed to something they may have missed. Or, they can choose to be content. I chose the first method. If that is weird to you, then you must use the second approach. To each their own.

I’ve had all their versions and the Pro’s are bigger but I like it makes the Binos easier to get in and out .

I concur! My Zeiss 10x42 Victory HTs work well with the Pro. That extra space helps with one hand operation. I tried others, but they were too snug and I needed both hands to operate.

The magnets in the OV make it a non-starter for me. There are a number of build details that I prefer in the Kuiu.

Your lucky that you can't relate. Not sure I could operate my business or afford 1/2 the things I do if i didn't buy from overseas, even when there are domestic options. I don't shop at Walmart and buy local when I can, but it's not the only deciding factor in my life.

Thanks tdot. I never thought about the magnets being an issue.

As far as buying American, in today’s world, not everything a person needs For certain business is even produced here. So, it can’t be all the way. Concerning the harness though, the Kuiu I had seemed good. Just not as good and handy as the OV I have. Which is why I asked the original question. Thanks again.

No problem- I also left a few of the cushions below the binos to keep them up higher so I could grab them easier with one hand. That's why in my pic they look like they are almost all the way to the top- just high enough so I can grab them easy but not too high so I can crawl with the cover open and they don't fall out.

I use the exact same binos (Zeiss 10x42 Victory HT)) - probably what Kuiu reders to as a “longer ten”?
I have the original (2014?) Kuiu harness in XL, no way my binos would fit in the “old model” size L - but apparantly the Promodel runs quite a lot bigger?
What size Pro harness do you have? L or XL?

Yeah, the HT’s are a bit longer than a lot of other 10’s.

I have the L. With the eye cups fully extended, it’s a snug fit, only noticeable when closing the harness lid. Along with the rangefinder holder, I still love the harness!

Thank You SO SO much for replying - shipping charges to Denmark is horrendous, so I want to get it right the fist time, and until now I haven't been able to find any Victory HT/Kuiu users to ask for advice... :)
I actually called Kuiu a few times about it (with mixed results).
Mostly they just chant "go XL" before I even get to tell them what binos I have and what I'm looking for in a bino harness - not a very positive experience...
Apparantly they find that 6.75 inches in height is the "magic number" for going to the bigger size - and the HT is just a little longer than that with the eyecups extended...
But apparently the HT fits just fine anaway :)
Besides, the XL looks massive - and I don't want a ton of extra (unneeded) bulk...
That closing the lid is a bit of a task is not a problem at all - but how smooth do You find one-handed operation (in/out for glassing)?

One handed operation is OK for me, I am 68 and hands don't work like they used to. I found myself double checking to make sure it closed properly and usually it did. My son is 34 and he has no issues with one handed operation.
