You’re probably right about the fluted bolt. I was expecting an action feel similar to my Montana, but the Montana doesn’t have a fluted bolt. I do think breaking it in will improve it.

Picking one up in .308 this afternoon. I’ll try to get some pics up later today if someone doesn’t beat me to it

They have a wood stocked 30-06 for $799 up now. They’ve added a bunch of wood stocked rifles to inventory. I’m still holding out hope for a 7-08 or the 6.5 again
