My buddy that made my war shirt is now almost finished making my matching pair of pants!

hes 5'7 so they look really long on him. I run 6'4



waist area


the butt area seam is stitched with the lazy squat stitch. very strong.

I hike in all over the place. I've packed elk in soft sole moccasins. They did it back then, it can be done today. It all depends on your mental toughness.

Lava rock areas are torturess no matter what footwear you have. Don't miss hunting new mexico lol.

Who makes your moccasins? I've been wanting to get a high quality pair for quite awhile.

I had my flintlock out yesterday. It was embarrassingly bad, although I was by myself. I just can't quit flinching when the pan goes off

does your buddy make lion cloths? I’m wanting to try a new strategy for otc archery hunting… I think folks will avoid me more if I’m in full war paint and lion cloth

I have a blaze orange slip that goes over my hat, also a blaze orange knitted hat, and a simple light weight blaze orange vest.

Unfortunate, but you have folks killed wearing blaze orange too. A very rare occurrence.

He got killed not because of his buckskins, but because of the dumb ass at the other end being a reckless fool and not knowing what they were shooting at.

Quality mocs will provide a pleasant pack out. My mocs are 4 layers of buffalo " Bison to city folk" and extremely comfortable. Hard sole moccasins are also a big help.

It's certainly not for everyone, but those that have patience and want to experience something that was done as every day living for hundreds of years, certainly find joy in it.

Was on the family ranch in AZ last week, I am always amazed at how the Apache ran around on/ in that stuff, all the rocks and plants will get you. I guess if that’s all you know it’s fine

The lava rocks in Northern New Mexico will teach you to walk carefully lol that stuff will destroy modern boots.

Yes or just let use darken them. Eventually they'll get campfire soot, grease, blood, dirt all over them. First rendezvous of the year starts May 13th for me and they'll see action. I'll be sad when they get dirty
