new Hawkeye Hunter?

Anyone have first-hand experience? Looking at the 6.5cm in walnut with stainless, threaded barrel.

Why the heck arent they making these with a synthetic stock. For crying out loud, why did they ever stop making the hawkeye all weather rifles???

I'm probably in the minority here, but I still like walnut. Never had an issue with wood in rough weather. But I have had blued barrels (Remington) rust quickly.
