Had a friend offer to show me the ropes when it comes to whitetail hunting. So began the deep dive into different firearms, scopes, scope mounts, ammo etc. This forum has been an amazing resource of information.
Everyone seems to really like the Tikkas on this forum and it just so happened I found a great deal on a Tikka CTR 6.5CM. Just picked it up from my FFL yesterday. I'm an aerospace machinist by trade (my parts are floating around in orbit!), machining on this rifle is very good looking. Looking forward to see how it shoots.
Now the search for ammo and scopes continues. Hunter safety class is scheduled for mid sept, so I have a little time to get everything together. see you all around.
