Hello there! New guy to the forum from Texas.
Hunting for over 10 years, but coming off a 7 year break. All in on bow hunting and reading up on all of the threads.

As the self-appointed chairman of the welcoming committee, it is my privilege to extend a laurel, and hearty handshake (virtual, of course) to our new TX member.

I’m in the DFW region! Hunting some public down in Witney and a buddies ranch.

Welcome, we'll be down for the eclipse in Grapevine.
Not sure why the spouse wants to go down but hogs might be hunted while there too. Family is still in the area.

Wytx can you hunt hogs in grapevine whenever? I’ve put in for the white tail draw before but it’s pretty limited

Just getting into bow hunting in Texas myself. Been rifle hunting for 10 years. Feels good to be a FNG again. The learning curve on archery is staggering. I can’t believe how much minutia there is to think about and tweak. Pretty fun nerding out, but man archery is a money pit

That ain't no s*#!&. It's not a boat but it's definitely a lil pit if you get into arrow building, filming, etc. It's less than a boat though to start up.
