Walt, funny story. I just booked my rental car and flights for our cabin in November in Rovaneimi.

It will be our second trip. We were there last year for almost two weeks in June.

We will probably do the same thing in 2026.

Welcome. I unfortunately have not made it to Finland yet, but have been north of Lapland in Norway.

Welcome aboard our Finnish friend. What kind of animals are you chasing up North?

Moose, black grouse, willow grouse, capercaillie mostly. Some people hunt foxes and brown bears as well, but not me.

Lapland is perfect for birds because we have vast areas where us locals can hunt free of charge and we are able to hunt during snow season when the birds come up to the trees.

It is the nicest tourist town I have ever been to.

Hopefully our Central European Immigration problems don't hit Finland.
