It’s probably a good frame for what it’s intended for, and a little ingenuity and you could have it pretty set up for everything you need stand/saddle hunting

Reminds me of the outdoorsman’s frame kinda

All that is old is new again. That is basically a Dwight Schuh/Coleman Peak 1 circa 1988.
Makes me want to find the original Elk Talk VHS tapes...of course i wouldn't have a way to play them

I have a Peak 1 in the garage. Glass filled nylon is a bad choice for a pack frame if you want rigidity.

I laughed out loud when I read this. I've never owed one of those packs but I've been around them and I can totally see that happening.

I’ve packed a couple elk on those Coleman frames. They got it done.

I had a hind quarter and front shoulder on one load out. Below the road several thousand feet packing out. Exhausted when I reached the road, I let the frame just slide off my shoulders. The frame bent over with the load when it hit the ground. They did have some flex.
