This is a new piece from Argali. I plan on getting up a review (sometime after our 95+° heat wave :)) after I get some time with it.

This is an active insulation piece utilizing Polartec Alpha insulation in conjunction with some body mapping panels. It's full zip, inner zipped pocket with a hood (also insulated w/ Alpha).

It's similar in some ways to the Sitka Mountain Evo (now discontinued) that I reviewed a couple of years ago in that utilizes a grid fleece in the under arms and the back panel. Where it departs is that the face fabric utilizes a nylon Pertex fabric that is very breathable—the Evo utilized Goretex Windstopper which is not very breathable.

The back panel generally is subject to a lot of heat with a backpack on and for the vast majority of us, we always have a backpack on. This body mapping should mitigate some of the heat/moisture issues seen with a lot of jackets while wearing a backpack.

I need to mention that the face fabric is very soft/quiet, often not so w/ a nylon outer face.

Argali calls the color Mud, it's a dark sage-ish color that should be perfect for hunting.

The one I sent was size Large (my normal size) and fits nicely—not athletic, not baggy, what I would consider normal fit.

Weight is 14 oz.

Been very impressed with all 3 Argali pieces they have released so far, especially the pants. Looking forward to seeing more about this. That hood looks cozy as hell.

This might be the one that finally has me moving on from my traditional grid fleece or Rab alpha direct jacket. Should serve both purposes with one jacket

Seems like it would be a competitor to the OV Pursuit Hybrid (which I love!) It would be interesting to see a head-to-head between the two. Brad seems to do his research before bringing items to the market.

Really intrigued by this piece. Has similar features of the Pursuit Hybrid Fleece.

The full zip will be an improvement in my opinion to the Pursuit. Looking forward to picking this up
