As mentioned in the Bookcliff thread, there are a couple of new shelters from Seek Outside getting an official launch this week at the Western Hunting Expo in SLC. I've utilized this light winter to spend a little time in them for an initial impression.
This shelter is called the Brightwater and is a small, efficient, single-person shelter. Its minimal is size and is very light and packable. I don't have any specs on it at the moment other than it weighs 1.8 pounds with stakes and the carbon fiber pole. It can be pitched with a trekking pole as an option. It feels very spacious inside with volume very close to a Silex. The shape allows for superb handling in the wind and there are a lot of guy-out points to keep fabric panels from flapping.
This shelter will be getting a full spring season put on it when I head into the backcountry. I'm excited to have something so light and compact in my pack. Come get a firsthand look at this shelter in SLC at the Hunt Expo. It's a very unique design and shape and the interior really needs to be seen in person to appreciate it. Stay tuned for updates and review.
