New guy here. Moved to Colorado Springs for work - military.

Love some hunting. Primarily a upland/waterfowl guy, love gun dogs. Have a lab who is hanging on for one more season. Started to do some work on public land big game.

If you are in the area, let me know. Seems crazy but I rarely ever meet anyone who likes doing this stuff!

Welcome and thank you for your service to our country. I don't waterfowl hunt anymore but big game is all around you now, enjoy your hunts. Maybe look into pheasant hunting out east of you. I'm down below you in Pueblo.

For a range, look up frontier sportsman’s club. It may be a wait to get it, but a great value. Also the public range in Salida is worth the drive over. Steel out a long ways.

Welcome, thank you for your service. Up N of you in Castle Rock.

If you’re an archery guy the Cheyenne Mtn Archery range is tops and will get you some practice at cuts / angle shots. Monica’s for asada burritos in the springs.

I have a 4yo black lab and a 9mo yellow pup. Don’t do as much waterfowl and upland as I wish I could but prioritize big game.

Brother you are swimming in dog power, im jealous!! Wish I could have a second dog, tough with all the moves and never knowing where ill end up or what a house looks like.

I joined up at the academy archery range and have been really digging it. I will have to check out the state park one though. Also- no way im turning down a burrito rec!

I just looked up that Chaffee County range - definitely looks like its worth the drive. Ill likely be gone by the time I could be a member at Frontier. Been having so much fun I think we are just going to move back though!!

Thanks! Its my pleasure, love my job.

I have really been trying sort out the big game, i am an amateur for sure but having fun figuring it out. Got here late last summer and hunted an archery tag and rifle tag (OTC) last season and didn't see an elk! Had a blast though.
