I just got my dauntless bipod in from the ups man. Figured I'd add some more pictures for comparison to this thread.
I bought the tricer bipod when it came out and it was my first highly adjustable, long, "fancy" bipod. I was pretty pumped upon getting it and shooting with it for the first few months and I do still believe its a good bipod. Especially for the weight and price you can get them on sale. But practicing with it for some upcoming NRL matches I noticed just how clunky and slow the adjustments are. Stability was fine enough for me but the adjustments and the twist locks left alot to be desired. With the updated weight limit for NRL I now had some weight to spare. Decided to try out the dauntless bipod because I've heard nothing but good things about it. Man!! Everything about this bipod is a noticeable step up from the tricer, legs are thicker, adjustments more tactile and quick, no pan, twist locks are quicker, smoother, and screw the correct way. The Stability seems to be better as well. I couldnt be more pleased. Open light rifle comes in at 12lbs 8.6 oz ready to rock. I'm headed to the range to work some mock stages tomorrow so ill put it through its paces and try to report back. If your looking for a nrl bipod and can spare the weight, check this thing out.
