AK, ME - what time of year is it?
Curious: are any other Fieldcraft owners having problems with their rifles not ejecting UNFIRED rounds?
My 30-06 Barrett Fieldcraft will extract just fine, but will not reliably eject the round - leaving it in the action opening on top of the rounds in the internal magazine. These are factory loads.
Not a big deal for some folks, but I feel that unfired rounds should be sent clear of the action in the instance of a misfire/dud so I can get on to the next round for the shot.

Have someone film you ejecting, I have had a couple rifles do this and each time the spent brass was hitting the scope turrets and falling back into the action. When filmed and watched in slow motion I could see what was going on.

How is recoil with the .308?

I’m looking at this rifle myself as a host for a nightforce nxs 3-15 which would take overall weight to around 7lbs.

I have a Swfa mounted on top and don't think the recoil is too bad. Can't spot shots, but very manageable.
