New backpacking gear from Tusx

A buddy of mine has their sun shirt and he loves it. I like the camo pattern too.

Mat,
I have a Tusx stone sun shirt to, they are an awesome bit of kit for hot weather hunting.
Your buddy might like this shirt also, its made for more high exertion where maximum venting is needed in cooler weather, and for the shifting seasons where it can be cool in the mornings then heat up through the day.

I cant wait to try mine this fallow rut here in Australia when the seasonal weather will be changing. and even as a thin vest as part of my layering system on our pack in New Zealand hunts.

you guys should really check this stuff out. it is designed by a backpack hunter for backpack hunting. there are subtle features that make them very well suited to pack in hunting. simple things like the positioning of pockets, venting, etc.

the butt on those pants looks pretty well thought out, 330d cordura is an ideal apparel fabric in my mind.

I recall TUSX making its debut. I wanted to buy it at that time, but it was only available from AU and the international shipping made the price impractical...plus the potential return shipping costs would have basically prevented returns/exchanges for size adjustment. Has that changed, or is TUSX available from a North American source now? Great looking lineup....

lol welcome to the life of anyone living outside of North America.

I run their line up in summer and the convert shirt just arived at my house. Awesome is all I can say.

Looks like they offer flat $20Aus to US and Canada. Not a whole lot more than local.

Good2eat,

I had a look and yes it is pretty good for you guys over there. That flat rate of $20.00 is in AUD, at the moment it will be under $14.00 USD.
That is for a package up to 5kg (11 lbs) .
Pretty good value.

idaho elk- yes the boulder jacket is dead quiet. it's a very functional garment. you can still use the hand warming pockets when your wearing a pack with a waist belt for example. it's little features like that that shine with the whole tusx range. they are designed by a backpack hunter who has been and done it.

that's the problem. we can send something to the USA for US$14 but for the same item posted from the USA to australia.....well we have to pay 3 times that. still the total price is cheaper than what we can buy the same items here for, so we pay it.

Mark,Thanks very much for the link.Just trying to figure my size so I get it right the first time! Do the sizes run big, small or right on? I'm borderline L/XL

IdahoElk,

I found the sizes to be pretty accurate, if you want to layer up underneath I would suggest going the size up if your borderline.
I just had a look on their website and it looks like the large is out of stock, so the decision may have been made for you :)
