New Backfire Lightweight Hunting Chassis?

It Looks pretty nice, its got more on the butt for support then the hunt26(still not enough).

In the short video that I have seen the potential dealbreaker was it looked like a full wrap pistol grip, with no design to allow for a same side or neutral thumb rest near the safety. I won't a stock/chassis system that i can't have a good non wrap around grip.

I haven't seen the hunt 26 in person, but it looks like at least it has a cut out to allow for a same side thumb position.

Yea the thumb notch for the hnt 26 is a huge plus. When I saw no thumb shelf on this one I was surprised as that's also a deal breaker to me. Also the forend and how it carries is also what I look for now after carrying a squared aluminum forend XLR style vs rounded carbon of the hnt26, the hnt 26 carries so much more comfortably imo esp with the 3 rd flush mags. Not sure about this one as there is a lot going on with the forend

Given it's half the price of my HNT26, I could probably be OK DIY'ing a thumb shelf. Easy tap/drill into aluminum. The biggest gripe I would have is the non-locking folder, unless he just didn't activate it. Looked floppy. I hated that my XLR's would fold themselves easily while strapped to the side of the pack. MDT is nice lockup.

He presses the green locking bar with his thumb right at 20 seconds

WTF is the deal with having a short ass fore end on the bottom and full length above the barrel? Does he realize the support comes from below the barrel? Dumb!
