New "Backcountry" camo from Cabelas

Cabelas just released a new camo pattern called "Zonz Backcountry"....along with a new line of clothing for western hunting. I haven't seen it in person yet.

Interesting...Cabelas is getting in on the backcountry/merino/active/athletic, etc hunting gear market more and more. I will be curious how this stuff works out for guys. The pattern doesn't do much for me, kinda reminds me of natural gear.

Maybe but they seem to be right in the ballpark with everyone else. Plus, you will have the added benefit of being able to go into a store, try them on and get your hands on them before buying. I'm also guessing supply chain and timing won't be an issue with these. I'm going to go check them out and see how they look. I've always had really good luck with Cabela's branded products.

They usually have some pretty good sales too. I would never pay full price for their clothing...but some of it is decent if you can get it on sale. The 3 layer gore-tex jacket is interesting to me...."if" it is actually a 3 layer jacket.

Cabelas is the knock off king, I wish they would of just brought in the full line of firstlite.

Be curious to see what they did on their kryptek ordering

at 300 its alot less then the 600 price tag of the stormfront. I may have to go check it out.

I hope they didn't, but if they did now you know why.

Betting Its a true three layer since its goretex.

As Cabelas grows they continue to carry more and more only Cabelas brand products. THe price point is high but hey if it fails or if you just dont like it after a year you can return it. I dont see myself trying it though, not for that price.

They're still big on advertising they carry kryptek....but not the complete line (same as first lite, etc) and are starting to discount. At least what they have in stock. Never seen it in a store - but that's a pretty small sample as the Eugene store is more like a cabelas closet.

I saw this stuff today at the cabelas here in KC. I was t impressed. Their puffy doesn't compress as well as my FL and the fleece is the same grade as my Columbia fleece (IMO). The pants felt like heavy paper, think frog toggs. The camo pattern is what it is. I think it looks like I gave my girls three or four crayons and told them to have at it. I don't pay full price for any of the gear and clothes I have except my boots, so there is very little chance I'll buy any of this. I think I'll stick to what I know works.
