Any opinions on the ABowyer Whitetail ii? It is a convex, single bevel two blade broadhead. With a 30 grain adapter it would max out at a 215 grain head.
Does anyone have experience with the convex style and the extreme heavy head? Would love opinions or experiences or tips would love to hear them.

Having 2+ inches of broadhead sticking out in front of a glued-in aluminum thread adapter would make me nervous...seems ripe for bending/breaking at the glue joint. If I wanted to try a convex head, I would look at monolithic designs with an integral threaded shank (such as a Bone).

If you're new to heavy point weights, know that going heavy up front might necessitate a switch to stiffer spined arrows. It also might be a good idea to try out some heavy field points first and see how you like the trajectory before you commit to an expensive heavy broadhead.
