New Applied Ballistics “quantum”. Who’s figured it out?

Anyone update to the new Quantum? My phone updated so I guess Im on AB quantum now, and having some trouble figuring out settings. Cant tell how to use DA or manually enter altitude for instance, since I often dont have cell service. Also wondering what’s up with TWO wind inputs, and why adjusting one seems to auto adjust the other sometimes…but not always. Im sure I’ll have some other questions too as I use it, this is just from opening it up and quickly scanning the navigation. The user manual makes zero mention of any of this.

Anyone got this all figured out already?

Have you figured out how to use DA? Thats the biggest question at this point, cant find a setting for it anywhere.

A lot of kinks to work out obviously.

No DA input as of yet. Using station pressure/humidity/temp for solution.

If you can't get online and populate a good atmospheric you can estimate by barometric - elevation/1000.

I believe wind 1 setting affects wind 2 as wind 2 is supposed to be more than wind 1 while entering + (but not -)

They trashed the AB app and launched a new one without a density altitude setting? Really?? Seems like backward progress.

Sorry…what? I dont understand this at all.

AB and kestrals allow inputting two wind values at once. A high and low value. For bracketing purposes.
Wind 1 is the "low" wind input
Wind 2 is the "high" wind input

when changing Wind 1, Wind 2 will increase along with it, because it must be equal or greater

Thanks both of you guys, that makes more sense. My AB only had one wind input so this was new to me.

Any idea when we get DA back? Thats a dealbreaker.

Hopefully by the time they get Kestrel integrated.

The other big kink I found is on the target card the have azimuth for direction of fire but the wind doesn't show different for the targets. Just universally has one wind direction for all targets.

I emailed them and got the canned "we are fixing in the future" response.

I was excited for that feature as I have a Kestrel AB but not Elite so no target card.

I too hate the changes fwiw. I have "elite"
The app worked fine before.
Now all it does well is look fancy. Seems like it was designed by someone who doesn't use it

I found the old app clunky with not-intuitive navigation, but I got used to it. I guess I am not the type to embrace change for the sake of change, but Im sure I can get used to a new version as well. It would just be nice to have bedrock features that Ive relied on for years, exist at all. I emailed the support and asked about DA. I will be be persistent. Hopefully if you all are missing it as well you’ve all emailed?

Are you all using coriolis, spin drift, and aerodynamic jump settings? I screenshotted all my profiles from the old app, but I dont recall if I had these on or not. You “actually proficient” guys, any words of wisdom in these settings?

If you aren't going to enter shooting azimuth every time, leave Coriolis off. It doesn't really contribute until ELR anyway

I leave the other two on unless there is some reason you don't believe their outputs are legitimate. Those, too, aren't going to make you miss vitals until maybe 800+ yards. But it also doesn't hurt to leave them on IMHO
