New 25 cal

In the process of picking up parts to have a 25 cal built.

Going to shoot either the 130 class bullets

500 yards and in on deer sized and smaller game.


Is there any reason not to go with the 25 creed and go with the 25 prc?

I guess the reason to go bigger would be to practice at 1000yds?

500 yards and in, 25 creedmoor no question. Unless you are wanting a very short barrel, it will do everything you need burning less powder with manageable recoil. I have owned 25-06, 25-284, and 25 creedmoor barrels all fast twist for heavies and the 25 creedmoor is the only one left in my safe of those. Handful of kills from 500-700 yards have not left me wanting for more horsepower. Killed a few elk as well with great results. Feel free to PM

I have a 25 creed and 25-284 as well. After my barrel is toast on the 284 it will probably become a 25creedmoor. Alpha brass is available, less over bore, similar velocity, plenty of medicine for deer etc inside of 800yards
