Last night I googled “does Cabelas price match “.
My computers answer said they will under various circumstances.
I’m wanting a Garmin 680t Montana. Cabelas has them for $599.99
The GPS Store has them for $484.95. $115.00 cheaper. I would normally just buy the unit from the GPS store but I had a decent amount of Cabelas bucks.
So this morning I called Cabelas and asked if they would price match. The rep said they would with their major competitors. She asked me who. I told her The GPS Store. She politely said No. I told her I would not have asked if there wasn’t such a huge price difference. She asked for their price.
She placed me on hold. She then asked me for my customer information which I gave her. I went back on hold again for a couple minutes.
The rep came back on and advised they would price match.
So with my Cabelas bucks and price match price I got my Montana for a little over $300.00

I was told that they will price match any brick and mortar store. If there is an store front then they should match. However, they don’t match internet stores.

My local cabelas will only price match brick and mortar stores within a 75 mile radius I think, I know for sure it's no more than 100 mile radius. I've tried to get them to get them to price match for a store outside the radius and they wouldn't.

I've had them price match a lot of items, not sure there is a hard fast policy when they make that decision though. Normally if you are nice to them on the phone they are nice back to you. I always try to shop there first since I'm normally flush with Cabela's points. On that topic, their credit card rewards are pretty nice if you are a sportsman. Points have paid for a lot of the guns and gear I own, not to mention a few hunting trips (including the caribou trip I'm going on in a couple weeks). 1% back on everything you use a credit card for and up to 5% back at select businesses and Cabela's/BPS. I easily get a few thousand in free gear/trips a year (spending habits may vary.. lol)

I just bought propane canisters for my upcoming hunts from the local Cabelas. They were selling them for $4.99. Academy Sports had them priced for $3.49 but out of stock everywhere. Cabelas price matched the Academy price. Told me that it had to be a brick and mortar store within 50 miles. Then used my Cabelas points to pay for them.

I would guess me having a Cabelas card for thirty years probably helped. Oh well my Montana should be here in a day or so. Me happy!
