Nevada Unit 73 cow elk

Ive got a 72-74 cow elk tag that I am trying to fill. Just spent the last 5 days in 72 in Jarbidge, I saw some incredible bulls and a handful of cows. I had a shot on a cow at 125 yards but as I was about to the pull the trigger the calf started feeding on the cow, I couldnt bring myself to pull the trigger, it didnt feel right.

72 and the Jarbidge area is just too far for me to drive for a weekend hunt (about 9 hours from me) but Elko is only 4ish so I can get a few more days in on the weekends. Has anyone had any success in 73 north of Elko cow hunting? Any areas to focus on? Public land looks to be to the north more.

Doing some quick e-scouting since I spent all preseason on 72.
